SOME THINGS TO KNOW
If your pet has previously had a rabies vaccine and you want them to receive other services, please be sure to bring proof of the rabies vaccination. Tags do not suffice - we will need a copy of the rabies certificate or veterinary medical record. If you do not have a record of your pet receiving one, by we are required by law to administer one at the clinic.
All animals must be secured by owners and not removed from the vehicle until a volunteer comes to take them into the building. Cats MUST be in a secure carrier. Young kittens may travel together if the carrier is large enough. Dogs must be on a leash that is not a flexi lead type.
If your dog is fearful or aggressive, we will provide you with a humane muzzle to put on them before we take them in for services.
-
This will be our first vaccine clinic so we aren’t sure how many people will attend. We will have volunteers on hand to keep the process flowing efficiently but you should plan for a short wait if there are people ahead of you.
-
Yes! Since young animals may not yet have immunity to many of the diseases that affect them, be sure to keep your puppy inside the vehicle and your kitten in a carrier covered with a towel or blanket.
-
No - since the only services being offered are vaccines and other routine wellness care, and since we’ll also be serving many other people, it is not possible to meet with the veterinarian. Any concerns noted during the brief vet exam will be included in your records which you can then take to your personal veterinarian if you wish.
-
No - but be sure every animal is secure for the ride to the clinic. Dogs MUST be on a non-extension leash and cats must be in secure carriers with a cover. Only one cat should be in each carrier except for young kittens who can share a kennel.
-
No! Anyone can bring their pet(s).
-
Each animal who is vaccinated for rabies will get a rabies certificate and tag. We do not issue city licenses - you’ll need to take your rabies certificate to your local city hall to obtain a license. The rabies tag only has the year the vaccine was administered and the name of the entity that administered it.
